Program Overview

TCC Trinity River Trailblazer Leadership Academy

This semester-long program focuses on developing basic leadership skills. Each semester, students will participate in a variety of workshops to gain understanding, application, and experience in different leadership areas. Student participants will be considered “successfully completed” by achieving all semesterly requirements as set by program coordinator. Upon completion, students will receive a program certificate and will be recognized at an end of year celebration.

Program Details:

  • Meet every other week in the Center for Leadership Development
    • Located in TREF 1501-C
  • Participate in campus events and activities
  • Network with like-minded students, staff, and community members
  • Challenge yourself to grow as a leader by completing all semester requirements
  • Earn a certificate of completion and be recognized at a campus leadership event
  • T-shirt provided to all members

Semester requirements: 

  • Minimum 75% attendance at all regular meetings
  • Maintain good academic standing with TCCD throughout program duration
  • Maintain a leadership journal outlining new leadership skill development and application
  • Attend two (2) Trinity River campus events
  • Final presentation on personal leadership growth, including a plan for further leadership development
