Aveyona Boling

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hello! My name is Aveyona Boling, and this is going to be my first semester as an SI Leader! I am ecstatic to be given this opportunity and follow in the footsteps of the amazing supplemental instructors I had in the past. A little personal information about me, my hobbies include indoor cycling, finding great places to eat here in the DFW metroplex, and spending time with my family and friends when I have time to spare. I am currently in my Peds/OB semester of the nursing program and hope to graduate in May 2025. I also recently got engaged and plan to get married next August. Finally, my fiancé and I have a son (our cat) named Teddy.

Howdy! I have been at TCC forever since I was a TABS student at TR campus. I started working at TCC as a Chemistry SI Leader in Spring 2021 and became a Sr. SI Leader in Spring 2022. I'm also a student at UTA working on my Computer Science Bachelor's degree. I love opossums. Send me opossum photos.

Hello everyone! I've been a SI at Trinity River since Fall of 2023. I graduated from TCC through the American Sign Language Interpreting program and support various ASL levels. When I'm not at campus I like playing video games, reading, and hanging out with my dogs. I enjoy learning about dinosaurs, animals, and rocks!

Brianna Cortez

Brianna Cortez

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hi, my name is Brianna, and this is my second semester being an SI Leader! Currently, I am the SI Leader for Calculus I. My favorite subject has always been math, so you can imagine how excited I am that I get to help students develop their own mathematical skills. However, when I'm not working with numbers, I like to unwind by rewatching my favorite shows and movies or playing a board game with friends. I also like to go out with friends and family, either shopping or eating somewhere new. Most days I'll simply be at home with my dog, Marble.

I’m Samantha, and this is my fourth semester hosting the HESI A2 Reading, Grammar and Vocab Workshops. In the past I’ve supported Beginning Spanish I & II, served as a co-editor on two volumes of Roots & Reflections, and last semester I volunteered to assist the Writing Center. Currently I’m a studying English at TCU, and I spend my free time reading or crafting. My favorite things to read are poetry, memoirs, and lyrical prose. Thanks for having me!

Jessi Green

Jessi Green

Supplemental Instruction Leader

My name is Jessi Green. I have been an SI for three semesters now. I absolutely love my job as an SI because I am very passionate about helping others learn different topics. I have SI’d for BIOL 1406 for two semesters and I am now SI’ing for GOVT 2305. I am working towards an Associates of Arts Degree here at TCC to further pursue my love of acting. Outside of school and work I love to read and spend time with friends and family. My favorite thing to do is travel. I have been to 30 of the 50 U.S states and plan on taking a European trip soon.

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hey! I am currently a Supplemental Instruction Leader for BIOL 2401 Anatomy & Physiology 1 at TCC. I'm also a student working on my Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology. As someone who started school at a later point in life, I feel I have a lot to offer to students attending SI sessions at TCC Trinity River. When I am not studying you can find me on a local trail riding my mountain bike or chilling with my wife, Dr. Wife Ph. D, and our two cats.

Ash Hathcock

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hi! I’ve been connected to TCC for many years and am thrilled to come back to be a humanities SI leader. I am currently working towards getting my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree followed by a Master’s in Library Science. I love reading and drawing and I’m a big fan of the artwork of Takashi Murakami, Francisco Goya and Salvador Dali. I look forward to getting to know you!

Tayler Kendrick

Tayler Kendrick

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hey there, I'm Tayler Kendrick, your go-to guru for conquering BIOL-2402 Anatomy and Physiology II as a seasoned Supplemental Instruction participant and while this might be my first semester in this role as an SI Leader, I'm no stranger to the game, having rocked the program for the past four semesters.
I am a proud TCC alum with an Associate of Arts degree, I'm now setting my sights on leveling up in the healthcare realm. When I'm not diving deep into academia, I'm rocking the titles of wife and mom to two awesome kiddos aged 8 and 3, along with a dynamic duo of fur babies – a dog and a cat who could practically star in their own sitcom.
Pink's my power color, and you can catch me unwinding with a gripping book or soaking up the sun on a lakeside or poolside retreat with my crew. Let's smash those academic goals together and make learning an adventure!

Apryl Moone

Apryl Moone

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hi! I am a new SI Leader, but a TCC veteran. I took my first semester at TCC back in fall of 2018 at the Northwest campus. I love writing and reading- almost as much as I love dragons and video games- and I’m excited to support the COMP 1301 classes this semester.

Aubrey Mullen

Aubrey Mullen

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hello! My name is Aubrey, and I am the SI Leader for MATH-2412, or Pre-Calculus. I’m currently taking my first steps towards a BS electrical engineering degree here at TCC. I like STEM subjects for the fact that within them things generally either work or don’t work, providing instant feedback in the learning process, which can be very humbling. Outside of school I attend church regularly, play volleyball, rock-climb indoors, among roughly a couple other things. I also consider myself something of a layman’s theologian/philosopher and am rather fond of discussing such topics.

Minh Nguyen

Minh Nguyen

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hi-hi! I'm Minh, and I'm the SI leader for CHEM-1411. I previously supported BIOL-1406 for two semesters. So far, the experience has been stellar. After some initial trepidation, I've come to love helping others thrive and share in the wonders of science. Technically, I'm working toward two Associate degrees (one of Arts and the other of Science), but I'm realistically still figuring things out for now. My resting bothered face is a lie! I crave silliness. My special talent is making weird, albeit effective mnemonics. On the flip side, I also wax philosophical (in noob-like fashion).

Roxi Renteria

Roxi Renteria

Hi! My name is Roxi. I have been working as an SI leader since 2021. I have supported Anatomy and physiology, assisted in the science learning center, and supported the nursing program in foundations and adult semesters. I graduated from the nursing program in December 2024 and currently work as a cardiac nurse. I love assisting students at all levels of understanding and look forward to meeting all the new faces!

Abel Rivera

Abel Rivera-Velez

I'm the Administrative Assistant for Supplemental Instruction at Trinity River Campus. As an Admin Assistant, it's my job to support the SIs and SI Leadership by running background tasks and handling any snags that come up along the way. Autumn is my favorite season; I just wish it was a lot colder.

Erin Taylor

Erin Taylor

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hiya! This is my third semester supporting math courses and my second facilitating the math portion of the HESI A2 workshops. I play video games, usually RPG, open world, or simulation games. I love food and am always down to try new stuff, as long as there are no blueberries! I am the third oldest of nine children and a mom of a Skinwalker pretending to be a dog. I am a super spazz and love to help others as much as I can.

Skyler Vasquez

Skyler Vasquez

Supplemental Instruction Leader

My name is Skyler and I am an SI Leader for U.S. History! I've been an SI Leader since Summer 2023 and absolutely love it.

I have a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies from UT El Paso and am working on a Master of Arts in History through UT Permian Basin. (I am 100% a UT System girlie, with credits from most of the UT schools.) I especially love local history and am a Docent for the Fairmount Historic District here in Fort Worth.

I am a big-time animal person and have 3 dogs. I also love tea, gardening, and horseback riding. I'm married to another academic-nerd-type and we love exploring Texas together.

If nothing else, please stop by and show me a photo of your fur baby!

Makaila Walker

Makaila Walker

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Hello! My name is Makaila Walker. My hobbies include painting, reading, exercising, and crafting. When I paint, I sort of get lost in it and can work on a single piece for 5 hours if I am not careful! I love to read, but the spaces I read in have to feel just right, not to hot. I can do the cold! More blankets and tea for me! Side note, I also am a sucker for the holiday season. Hand me anything pumpkin spice and I'll drink it. Especially Pumpkin spice caramel macchiatos! I am an SI for Anatomy Physiology 1 and 2. Bones are my absolutes favorite. Bonus fact! I love dogs! I would like to have a Dalmation and a Cane Corso.
