Supplemental Instruction - Northwest - Staff

My name is Emerson Adams, this is my first time being on the SI team. I'm an Eagle Scout, part of the Order of the Arrow, and Phi Theta Kappa. I enjoy spending time with my friends and loved ones. I also love anime, manga, and playing my clarinet.

I’ve been teaching Psychology at the Trinity River, Southeast and Connect Campuses at TCC since 2013, and in 2022 I began managing Northwest SI, where I love working with our Leaders. I have a bachelor’s in Advertising, a master’s in developmental psychology, and one year of doctoral work in human development and family studies. Fun facts about me: I’ve lived in six states and I evaded kidnapping twice as a child (it was the 80s)! My husband is a philosophy professor at Trinity River and we have two kids, a high schooler and a college student - Wreck 'Em!

I am so happy to be a part of the SI team! This is my 3rd semester in-person at TCC. I love music, singing, volleyball, and finding new shows to watch. I am getting my associates in business administration and hope to continue my education at a 4-year university!

I was born and raised in Ecuador and moved to the U.S. at 20. Music has been a big part of my life—I’ve been singing since I was 7 and now serve regularly on the worship team at my local church. I’m passionate about health and wellness, and I love working out and experimenting in the kitchen with healthy recipes. When I’m not cooking or exercising, I enjoy reading and finding ways to help others. I believe in making a positive impact wherever I can.

Hi everybody, I’m River and this is my third semester as an SI here at TCC! I’m a Supplemental Instruction Leader for Dr. Nichols’ History 1301 class. I love pre-1900s history and I’m constantly watching YouTube videos about niche moments in time. I do improve comedy in Dallas and have a big love for pie, sports, and Spider Man.

Hello, my name is Chandler. I like to weightlift, box, run, go on Bible studies, watch football, and play video games. I would like to be a Physical Therapist in the future however I would also like to go into ministry. I am a big dog person as I have two dogs named Camo and Ranger. This is my third semester as a student at TCC, and it has been great!

Hello, my name is Alysandra Ezzell. This is my first semester an SI leader. I am a full-time student at TCC and I'm studying Chemistry. In my free time I enjoy reading and gaming. I look forward to a good semester with all of you.

My name is Maddie and I am a third-year student here at Tarrant County College. I am currently finishing up my basics, and am planning to graduate come the Spring of 2025. Along with my basics I will be completing my prerequisites targeted towards nursing in hopes of transferring to a BSN nursing program. When I'm not studying you can often find me reading or listening to music! I hope to see you in SI!

Howdy, I'm Noah! I have been with SI at the NW Campus for four years now. I supported A&P as an SI Leader but have been a Senior Associate since Spring 2022. I am a Biology major who wants to save animals around the world. I have a lucky black cat named Toph. I love biking the Trinity Trails, watching reality TV, and playing video games in my spare time.

Hello, my name is Jacob Marsden. I am originally from New Jersey but moved to Texas with my family when I was 14. I got my associate's at TCC, and am planning on doing the radiology technology program at the Trinity campus. My favorite show is House, and I love playing games with my friends. I have made many friends at TCC and cannot wait to make more.

Hello! My name is Ruby Meza and I am the Music Theory SI Leader. Some of my hobbies include hiking, music composition, and solving different types of puzzles (rubix cubes, traditional puzzles, crosswords etc). I'm really interested in k-12 education, environmentalism, and the music scene. Always happy to meet new people!

Hello! I'm Ruth, the SI Leader for macroeconomics at TCC Northwest Campus. Last fall, I attended SI sessions for macroeconomics class every week, which helped me get an A. I’m excited to help other students achieve the same success and understand economics better. As a future CPA, I enjoy working with numbers, and I’ve even picked up Sudoku in my free time. I also love reading books while playing their audiobook version at the same time. I’m always up for a challenge, especially when it comes to numbers, economics, and ziplining with treetop courses. Plus, I’m a big fan of memes and cats because they never fail to make me laugh! I'll do my best to help my peers see one more "A" on their transcripts.

Hey my name is Alex! I am majoring in mechanical engineering and am a big math nerd. I love rock climbing, sports, hiking, and just being active overall. And I love partaking in my fair share of video games!

Hi! My name is Hadley and I am 20 years old. I have been at TCC for 3 semesters and I am entering my fourth. I hope to attend TCC's Nursing School in the fall of 2025 or spring of 2026. I love lifting weights, cooking, baking, and spending time with friends and family in my free time.

Hi, my name is Tuan! I believe in fostering inclusivity, positivity, and collaboration in all areas of my life and hope I can translate that energy to deliver engaging, insightful, and effective study groups as an SI leader. Ideally, I want to instill a drive and passion back into academic life for my fellow students and make study sessions fun! I am a lover of indie movies (bonus: if a movie can get a good cry out of me) and food, and especially love to bake to relax!
