CHEM 2423 (Organic Chemistry I) Workshop #6: Substitution Reactions and Mechanisms

Description: This workshop reviews the mechanisms of SN1 and SN2 reactions, their respective energy diagrams, and evaluate nucleophilicity and electrophilicity. Stereochemical considerations are also explored.

Description: This workshop reviews the naming and structure of alkenes, along with the reactions and mechanisms that produce the alkenes. If time allows, we will also show go over how to determine whether reagents will lead to substitution vs. elimination reactions.
