NE General Chemistry Resources

These resources are tailored to students taking general chemistry courses on the Northeast Campus. If you are taking a general chemistry course elsewhere at TCC, visit the Learning Commons Science Support page to access general resources and resources specific to your campus. Are there additional resources that you'd like to see here? Contact us and let us know!

Picture5.png On Campus

This is a representative list of physical resources available for students to check out and use while at the SLC on the NE campus. These lists are not comprehensive. If you are looking for a specific resource and do not see it here, we may still have it; contact us for more information.

We have physical copies of all textbooks currently used in introductory and general chemistry courses on the NE campus, as well as numerous other textbooks, study guides, solution manuals, and reference materials. Books are listed in roughly alphabetical order by title.

Lab Manuals

We keep current copies of the lab manuals used for CHEM 1409, 1411, and 1412 on the NE campus. If we do not have your course's lab manual, contact your instructor to get us a copy. We also have the solutions to the prelab exercises for the CHEM 1409, 1411, and 1412 lab manuals used on the NE campus, which students can check out and review in preparation for their labs. These are provided to us by the department, and some instructors provide them on Canvas as well.

Supplemental and Reference Books

  • CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (75E, 92E)
  • Math Review Toolkit for Fundamentals of Chemistry (4E) by Long and Burns
  • Math Review Toolkit for General Chemistry (2E) by Long, Lewis, et. al.
