Writing and Reading Support Mission
The mission of the TCC Writing centers is to provide excellent academic support that is focused on students and promotes student independence and ownership, accountability, confidence, and efficacy; and to assist students in navigating the academic environment, including understanding expectations and the culture of higher education, and in applying learned concepts to academic, professional, and personal work.
Writing center staff guide students through the reading and writing and related academic processes so they can make appropriate rhetorical choices to achieve their desired ends in academic, professional, and social contexts.
