Science Staff - SE

I have been a Learning Commons Associate, Senior  in the Science, Writing, and Language Center since 2011. My tutoring experience has taught me that a highly effective way of learning a new concept is to explain it to someone else. In my tutoring sessions, I encourage our students to appreciate the incredible knowledge and experience they bring to their coursework. I graduated from UT Arlington with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. At UTA I also had the pleasure of teaching several semesters of microbiology for nursing majors. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, ceramics, and jazz.

I am an Instructional Associate for the Southeast Campus Geology lab where I prep and tutor both Physical and Historical Geology. I studied archaeology and geology at Texas State University, where I learned to never take a rock pun for granite. When I can find the time, I enjoy studying paleoanthropology (early humans!), exploring the Trinity River in my kayak, and writing/running tabletop RPGs.

I am a Biology a Learning Commons Associate, Senior in the Science, Writing, and Language Center at the Southeast Campus specializing in anatomy and physiology.

I am a transplant to Texas from the deserts of the southwestern United States. I first attended TCC SE as a student, and after graduating university I came back to work as a math tutor. I now take care of the SE physics labs, and tutor physics. I studied physics in university, with a focus on space physics. I keep busy in my spare time with volunteer work in the Civil Air Patrol, reading, writing, listening to classical music, watching old science fiction movies, working on chainmail projects, and studying medieval Italian longsword.
