SKD on the Southeast Campus

We are the English Honor Society on TCC's Southeast Campus, and we are glad you are here!

Sigma Kappa Delta (SKD) is a national society that promotes high academic and intellectual standards while performing community service.

We are committed to performing at least one literary and/or literacy related activity per semester, but we also find other fun ways to help our community. Here are just some of activities SKD has either led or been involved with:

Book drive benefitting the entire 2nd grade class at Speers Elementary in AISD
Pet food/supply drive for Mansfield-area animal shelters
Fish Creek clean up
Sock drive benefitting local homeless shelters
Holiday dinner for Arlington Life Shelter
Blanket drive for local seniors in nursing homes
Group attendance at TCC theatrical performances

One of the benefits of membership in SKD is that you get to help create the vision for our organization. Want to lead us on a project? Go for it. Want to volunteer with a community organization? Absolutely!

We also publish our own literary journal, and we are thrilled to include your artistic works (fiction, nonfiction, drawings, photography, paintings, sculpture, and more) in our publication! But, you must be a member!
