Poetry and Story Slams (Storytelling Festival)

Here is the link to the storytelling festival in Denton.

This post is informational in nature in the event that some of you want to attend the festival on your own.   This is not an "official club activity" but we are making you aware of the schedule and location. 

Most of the events do cost money but there are two free ones that I think are similar to events we may be able to sponsor or participate in on campus.  This is the overall schedule:

There is a poetry slam followed by a story telling slam at the Women's Center.  

These are offered on Saturday morning. They are free to the public.  There is no way to predict the content because the names will be drawn to perform at the event itself.  Volunteers have thrown their name in the hat from around the community. They will have their names put in a hat and if their name is drawn they will perform.  They will be scored and then finalists will be announced at the end of the day.
