12/10/24 Meeting Minutes

 

• Call special session to order: 6 PM
• Agenda: discuss the budget for Valentine’s karaoke and roughly plan on meeting with Todd for debate process.
• Karaoke date and time: February 13th.
  • Setup time: 10:20 AM
  • Start time: 11 AM
  • End time: 3:30 PM
• The budget: $250 and Patrick will meet with a staff member to make sure it’s enough or not too much. All agreed.
• Arlett volunteered to be our senator and representative.

Items to buy:

• 46 valentines themed mini cupcakes 
• 200 heart shaped lollipops 
• Undecided kind soda after we get rsvp results that will have a survey
• Some decorations IF student activities doesn’t have a lot
• Cheese and pepperoni pizza with the rest of the money

Event ideas:

• Patrick will ask the SGA if they can do initiations there.
• Unofficially promote the event before class
• Dress code will either be formal or our club shirts if we order them in time. Alex will wear a toga and a kilt (I don’t know who he is)
• Reach out to the music and theatre clubs to see if they’d like to join us.
• Make QR codes for rsvp-ing and to survey during the event.
• GET FLYERS
• Try to get us excused from class that day

Extra:

• Talked about the possibility of having unofficial club games like Roblox and Among Us over winter break.
